Musings in the Dark: Year-End Wrap-Up

Year-End Wrap-Up

So 2017 is a wrap!  Is it me or did that year go by fast?  It's like I can't keep up.  Like certain plans were made (or thought of) with a particular time frame in mind, but before you know it, the year has passed and you haven't done a damn thing you intended.

Side note: I did publish Tainted in 2017, so there's that.

I did a lot of traveling this year.  This time last year saw me in Venice with Noob.  I went to Paris in March, Jamaica in June, Cancun in July, relocated to Indonesia in August, and celebrated my birthday in Bali.  Busy year, five new passport stamps.

I have not dedicated any time to blogging, as I'm so exhausted when I get home from work.  I can't think straight and half the time, I'm not sure what it is I have to say.  I hate this, but I'm the only one who can change this whole situation.  It probably will come down to me setting a weekly alarm and devoting 2 hours to writing anything I want...including fanfic.

I am excited for what 2018 will bring.  Black Panther, for one.  I'm so stoked to see that movie; I may take a day off work so that the theater isn't super crowded.  I'm also planning at least two or three trips: Singapore, Malaysia and Korea (I think).

I plan to start back working on the Nightingales books now that Tainted's published.  I look forward to dropping back into the shenanigans going on in Atlantic Station.  Book 3, Whispers, should be ready for publication in 2019.

I'm also working on something else that I hope will be ready for publication in October of this year.  I've been putting it off, but no more.  It's important to clear the mental decks of everything except Nightingales so that I can finally begin writing the Blade Dancer series.

So many stories, so little time.

I sincerely hope that your holiday was pleasant and wonderful.  Mine was.  Take care, Dilettantes!  2018 is upon us and may we make it the year we want it to be.

Talk to you soon.  ~A
