Hey Fans of the Dark…

As I’ve stated in previous posts, I’m really busy right now.  A lot is going on, and if I’m going to make my deadline and accomplish my goals, I’ve got to streamline aspects of my life.  So, in keeping with my actions for 2013, I won’t be posting as often.  It is NOT that I don’t have anything to say…it’s just that with all of the other things I have to do; I can’t take the time to organize my manic thoughts into a post.  However, if an opportunity presents itself between thesis revisions and drafting Nightingales  cool air and Blade Dancer, I will definitely poke my crazy-ass manic head up and say Hi.

Having said all that, Nightingales CRASH!!! is finished (YAY!) and is currently marinating.  I’m very proud, pleased and happy that I was able to finish the book so fast and definitely before my life got super-complicated.  As far as when it will be published; I have to let my books marinate at least one month.  The reason for this is that I always like to give them the once-over with fresh eyes before they get published.  Consistency is very important, especially with what this project is supposed to accomplish.  So expect for Nightingales CRASH!!!  to be published in late spring.  This makes me ahead of schedule…and that is never bad.  Here’s hoping cool air will be out by December.  Don’t cross your fingers tho.

I do want to say this:  I’ve been so deeply involved in my academic and novel writing for the past five years that I’ve missed an assload of pop culture.  I don’t know hardly any of the current musical artists, mainly because I’m an o’head and I like my old school stuff.  I don’t feel bad about it either.  The only reason why I’m bringing this up is because I have fallen head-over-heels in love with a vlogger named Kid Fury.  This young man has given me LIFE in the midst of job hunting and thesis revisions.  If you have never heard of him, take your ass to YouTube and look him up.  He discusses aspects of pop culture and I realized that I didn’t know half of what he was talking about.  That didn’t make it any less funny, but I was like:  Who is Keri Hilson?  Who is Wiz Khalifa?  Who da shit is Kat Stackz?  Who is Amber Rose?  Who is Frank Ocean?  Who is Drake?  What the hell is the Cinnamon Challenge?  What the fuck is going on???  To be honest, I still don’t know but it doesn’t stop me from enjoying his marvelous commentary.  Shit, I learned who Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj were just last year.  Don’t judge me.  Or hell, judge me.  I don’t give a single solitary fuck.  None of those folks improve my life or deprove it, for that matter.  I just don’t care.

This particular video talks about the finer points of fighting shade.  The answer is...with shade.  Who knew???  (I admit, I didn't know what the hell Kid was talking about until he defined "shade."  Now that improved my life.)

But anyway, I just wanted to touch base and let you know that I’m still here and still around; I’m just occupied with things that will improve my circumstances…and I know y’all understand that.
